Piccoli miglioramenti su molti fattori battono grandi miglioramenti su pochi.
Oukside started from a simple idea: people don't fail diets — diets fail to fit the lives people actually live. Real weeks are full of travel, deadlines, commitments, kids. A method has to withstand all of that, or it isn't a method.
Oukside was active from 16 Mar 2016 to 18 Jun 2026. This page keeps its Never Diet Method in summary: the structure it used to think about being fit.
Physical fitness isn't a number on a scale or a body-fat percentage. It's the capacity to handle everyday activities with energy and readiness, without excessive fatigue, with margin left for leisure and for the unexpected. A state you live in, not a result to reach.
Hence the name. Never Diet was born in opposition to a market that equates being fit with being on a diet. Focusing on food alone loses sight of the system, turns diet into the scapegoat for a life that isn't working, and acts on the wrong lever. The method works on the system; diet, if needed, becomes one lever among others — never the only one.
Work, sleep, stress, energy, time: they're part of the problem, not the backdrop. Technical detail comes after, not before.
The point isn't to do everything better. It's to work out what matters now, and what can wait without harm.
An action that holds in real life beats a perfect week. Continuity beats intensity.
The 4 Areas are the main map; the 9 Factors, within them, are the finer reading layer. They aren't independent: each one influences the whole system and is influenced by it. For every Factor, the optimum is the state the method moves toward.
Everything that passes through the body: food, supplements, substances, herbs.
Using the body the way it's built: movement with a purpose, and knowing when to stop.
Thinking, orienting, knowing yourself: the mind and the way you feel.
Expressing yourself in leisure, work, relationships, life.
Three ideas explain why the method works on the whole system instead of pushing on a single lever.
The body is one system. Change one point and you shift the whole mosaic: the factor you work on, its relationships with the others, and the overall picture they form together.
The further you push a single thing, the harder it gets to push further. Moving a factor from 8 to 8.9 costs enormous effort and barely improves the overall state.
Small improvements across many factors beat large improvements on a few. But it holds above sufficiency: below it, a factor acts as a floor and drags down the effort spent elsewhere.
The method answers four practical questions: where to start, how many actions to choose, how often to change them, what to do over time.
You give each Factor a score from 1 to 9 and place them on a radar map. The resulting shape shows where you stand and where to act first.
You pick the 1 or 2 lowest Factors and turn them into concrete actions, split into three groups: do now, within 7–9 days, postpone.
You carry out the actions. A habit forms through repetition at irregular intervals: intense at first, then sparser, with moments of renewed attention when old automatisms push back.
After a few months you review the map. Actions that have become habits are retired; the others are extended or replaced with more advanced versions. The long-term programme emerges on its own, without designing it at a desk.
The Never Diet Method was born around 2019 from the work of Vincenzo Tortora. Until 18 Jun 2026 Oukside was its home: the place where the method was written, structured and tested.
The Never Diet Method, in full, was collected in the book Never Diet (Oukside): the 4 Areas, the 9 Factors, the four steps and their foundations, in their most extended form. First published in 2017–2018 and revised over time until 2026, the book is no longer on sale.
Oukside was for people who wanted to be fit in real life, without diets and without making it an obsession. It is no longer active: this page stays, with the method as it was.
